Non-Peroxide Teeth Whitening Kits
The appearance of non-peroxide teeth whitening kits is a fairly recent development that seems to be mainly a result of recent EU regulations which make it more difficult for people to buy home whitening kits containing peroxide even though it has a proven track record of effectiveness and is safe as long as used sensibly in accordance with instructions.
Non-peroxide formulations mainly use sodium bicarbonate or sodium perborate as their active ingredients and offer an even safer way for people to whiten their teeth at home within 2-3 weeks, since these constituents are not irritating in any way.
Non-peroxide whitening kits work in a similar way to peroxide ones in that the process involves plastic mouth trays that are filled with gel and placed over the teeth. They do not appear to cause any increased sensitivity of the teeth in the same way that peroxide can if used in fairly high strength. Thus non-peroxide teeth whitening kits can be used by virtually any adult who wishes to whiten their teeth in the easiest and safest manner.
